OUR CORE VALUES

The Limestone County Democrats share our party’s commitment to the core Democratic values that unite all Americans as expressed in the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, and in the other significant documents, speeches, and writings of our Nation. These values include equality, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, the separation of powers, the right to privacy, the right to vote, respect for democratic institutions, the truth, and the rule of law.

We believe that no matter who you are, where you came from, what you look like, or who you love; if you work hard, play by the rules and do your fair share, then you deserve an equal opportunity and a fair shot.

We expect a lot out of ourselves, and even more out of our government. We believe in setting the bar high on accountability, truthfulness, personal responsibility, and community service for anyone who holds public office. And so should you.

Our Mission

The Limestone County Democrats recruit and support candidates for local office while helping statewide and national candidates organize within our county and win elections.

We organize and connect volunteers with opportunities for involvement during elections and beyond.

In between election cycles, we form strategic alliances, build and sustain relations with our community, and keep local Democrats and residents connected with each other and informed about issues and events that are important to us.  

Along the way, the Limestone County Democrats work to grow by attracting voters, young and old, independents as well as disenchanted partisans, to share our vision of community and to join us in making it a reality.
