WRITE A LETTER

One of the most effective ways you can help Democrats in North Alabama is to talk about why you believe in our party. If you like to write, we can help you have your editorials published in local newspapers.

Our communications and research teams can help you polish your piece so it’s ready to be published. Once your letter or article is ready, we can help you submit it to local publications. As Democrats, we know that our greatest strength is the people who support our party. Your voice can help us win the hearts and minds of our community. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS

We rely on the feedback and ideas from local, grassroots Democrats like you to help shape our agenda and priorities for 2019 and beyond. Please take a minute to tell us whats on your mind.

Sign up to be a Poll Worker or a Poll Watcher

Get a front row seat to Democracy! Being a Limestone County Poll Worker or a Democratic Party Poll Watcher is an exciting and rewarding way to take an active part in our democratic process.

Being a POLL WORKER is ideal for anyone wanting to be on the frontlines of democracy. Poll Workers process voters, issue ballots, maintain voting equipment, and ensure citizens their right to vote. Poll workers work for the County and are paid for their service.

POLL WATCHERS serve as our  eyes and ears on the ground. They observe voting procedures, help people exercise their right to vote, and ensure that voters cast their votes without interference or intimidation. Other key tasks for Poll Watchers are documenting the number of persons having voted at various times during the election, inspecting the public count of voters for all offices and recording the final count of votes.

Poll Watchers are volunteers credentialed by a political party, and assigned to a specific polling place for the whole or partial Election Day. Democratic Poll Watchers must be registered to vote in the county where they are assigned, and must be approved by the County Chair of the Democratic Party based on personal knowledge and/or training.
